"Healing involves facing

one’s story, including its

FACTS AND QUESTIONS

Therapy can help you:

1. Build insight and self-understanding
Therapy offers a space to get curious about your inner world. You’ll gain insight into your thoughts, feelings, and patterns, and learn how your body and brain respond to stress, relationships, and change. Our brains are remarkably flexible—capable of healing, growth, and transformation.

2. Recognize your strengths and grow resilience
Together, we’ll identify the qualities and inner resources that make you uniquely you. Therapy supports you in building on those strengths and developing greater emotional resilience, helping you move through life with a deeper sense of agency and hope.

3. Reconnect with your body’s wisdom
Our emotional experiences often show up in the body. In our work, I may gently guide you to tune in to what your body is saying, and help you learn tools to calm your nervous system and feel more at home in your body.

4. Express emotions, needs, and boundaries with confidence
It’s common to grow up in environments where needs and emotions were misunderstood or dismissed. In therapy, we explore how to express your feelings, advocate for your needs, and set healthy boundaries—all essential for meaningful relationships.

5. Explore and move through grief
When we experience trauma or loss, grief often follows. This might include mourning painful events or recognizing the absence of what you needed but didn’t receive. Therapy creates space to sit with grief in a way that is compassionate and healing.

Q: Who do you work with?

I work with kids, teens, women and couples looking for premarital counseling. I do not work with men 20+

Q: How can counseling help me?

Talking to someone outside your circle—someone who isn’t a friend or family member—can be incredibly helpful. A therapist offers a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can explore what’s going on with honesty and curiosity. Together, we’ll use gentle, evidence-based strategies to build insight, uncover blind spots, and help you see your challenges with more clarity. Therapy can also be a powerful space for growth. It’s one of the few places where you’re invited to show up just as you are—no expectations, no pressure—only room to be heard, understood, and supported. From here, real change can happen. As we slow down and mindfully explore your thoughts, emotions, and patterns, you’ll begin to create meaningful shifts that move you toward the life you want.

Q: What is your therapy approach?

As a therapist, my focus is on creating a space where you feel deeply seen, heard, and understood. That means: You’ll be met with compassion, not judgment. We’ll work together to build a sense of emotional safety, so you can show up as your full, authentic self. I’ll hold space for whatever you bring—without shame, blame, or an agenda for how your healing should look. Your needs, pace, and process will guide our work. Research consistently shows that when there’s a strong connection between therapist and client, real and lasting change is more likely to happen. In many cases, the work I do is longer-term. Together, we’ll explore how early experiences, unprocessed wounds, and deeply held beliefs may still be shaping how you see yourself and relate to others. This kind of work takes time, but it’s often where the most meaningful transformation begins. Therapy, like any journey of healing, can bring discomfort and growing pains—but it also offers moments of clarity, connection, beauty, and deep relief. I also want you to know this: I’m human too. That means there may be times when I don’t fully understand you or when something feels off. These moments, while uncomfortable, are an important part of the work. When we face them together instead of avoiding them, they become powerful opportunities to build trust, deepen insight, and experience healing in real time.

Q: How many sessions will I need?

The number of therapy sessions you might need depends on your goals and what brings you in. Healing is rarely a straight line, and meaningful, lasting change often takes time. Real transformation is a process. Some people come for just a few sessions to get support through a specific situation. Others choose to stay longer, especially when working through trauma or deeper patterns, which can unfold over several months or more. It’s also common for clients to return to therapy at different points in their life as new challenges or growth opportunities arise. Therapy tends to be most helpful when it's consistent. Many clients begin with weekly or biweekly sessions, but we’ll collaborate to find a rhythm that fits your needs and lifestyle. We’ll continue to check in about what’s working and make adjustments along the way. You’re always in control of your therapy journey. That means you’re free to pause, stop, or shift the frequency of sessions at any time. Your autonomy and comfort matter here.

Q: Do I need counseling or life-coaching?

Therapy is for when you're struggling with your mental health—like anxiety, depression, stress, or past experiences and trauma that feel hard to carry. It’s focused on healing, emotional support, and deeper self-understanding. Life coaching is for when you’re doing okay but want to grow—whether that’s gaining confidence, reaching goals, making decisions, or building better habits. It’s focused on clarity, motivation, and moving forward. Think of therapy as support for healing, and coaching as support for growing. Both can be powerful—it just depends on what you need right now.
